Thanksgiving is creeping up!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  Life these days is so full of hustle and bustle, it makes me remember back to when times were simpler.

I can remember some amazing Thanksgiving Dinners at my Mamaw’s house that took what seemed weeks to prepare.  Cooking chicken days ahead of time for fresh broth for the dressing, peeling and cooking pumpkin for her famous pumpkin pies, and seasoning and preparing the turkey the day before.  The smell of sage and cinnamon filling the air of her old country farm house.  As a kid, I can remember watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, patiently waiting on all the smelly stuff to be finished so we could eat……and eat…..and eat.
